After a bit of a hiccup with EoT and my then publisher earlier this year, the novel has found a home with my pub Soul Mate Publishing. That makes four books with SMP. I’m excited and relieved for it to be contracted. I’m not sure of the release date so stay tuned. I envision it to be in 2015.
Back in January when I first started this blog, I had no confidence people would come and visit. I constantly eyed the blog stats meter and every time someone visited I jumped for joy. Now, we have reached (over) a 1000 views. Thank you all who have visited. Here is a picture of Jensen Ackles to celebrate.
I received a lovely review for Darkness before Dawn on Amazon. It is humbling someone enjoyed it. I put so much love, work and effort into the book and its nice to know a reader connected.
Today is the release of my novel Darkness before Dawn. Here it is! It has been two long years in the making, with hiccups along the way, but I am so proud to be here.
With my latest novel EarthWalker out with publishers, I am scratching my head on what to work on next. I started a Sci Fi novel entitled Vanguard this week, then came across a book I started in July 2011. This was in the wake of Darkness before Dawn. Its a historical fiction novel based in rural France. Here is the draft synopsis:
Exiled from war torn France in 1945, Marcelle Louis and her lover denounced German captain Karsten Furst flee to America to start a new life with the help of the infamous Maquis, a rural guerrilla band of French Resistance.
When they arrive in post war New York City, Marcelle and Karsten experience the very same scrutiny they faced back in France and reconsider their decision in leaving Europe. In a chance encounter, they meet charming, ex soldier Duke Holiday who promises to show them around the city and offers them protection from the leering and judgmental locals.
When Karsten mysteriously disappears, Marcelle is thrown into a world of night clubs, prostitution and the illicit night life as she struggles to search for her German captain, all the while in the keen sights of Duke. As the years pass, Marcelle grows to accept her German lover has abandoned her and vows to move on. But when Karsten turns up as a beggar on the streets of New York, she rethinks the role Duke had played on her life.
Should I get back on it? I put it aside because I wasn’t getting the drive for it as I usually do. But I think 2013 is the time to start Marcelle again.
Authors are starting a trend in turning their website into blogs. I am starting to think it’s unavoidable so I decided to turn my website into one. This is my first ever post! I was never a big blogger so I decided to join the masses.
So far 2013 is turning out to be a good year. My novella Skylark will be released by Rogue Phoenix Press on 1st August 2013 and my historical fiction Darkness before Dawn has been recently picked up by Soul Mate Publishing.
